Valero Environmental Analyst in HOUSTON, Texas

Description:

Provides clerical and technical support to the HSE department.

• Manages environmental and safety filing system. • Organizes support for special presentations and events related to environmental, process safety, risk management planning, government affairs, and community relations. • Performs administrative duties for the ORM/EHSM, SPCC/Contingency and Emergency Response Plans, and PolicyTech. • Initiates and/or modifies work orders, contracts, and check requests. • Prepares and tracks routine environmental reports such as air compliance (1173, 1176, RECLIM), NPDES, waste, etc., ensuring timely submission. • Archives environmental documents and manages various environmental log sheets and data logs. • Supports EOC and ERT by maintaining documentation, timelines, organizational charts, and supplies; coordinating training, lodging, and expense reports; planning and arranging drills; and updating checklists and records. • Maintains ICS Training records (100, 200, 300). • Maintains records for FRP Qualified Individuals and TX Industrial Emergency Services Board log, updates, and fees. • Assists with hurricane preparation and manages certified mailings and check requests for permits. • Writes and approves requisitions in SAP, and prints out morning reports for HSE personnel. • Manages environmental file folders (RIMS), discharge monitoring reports (DMR), and maintains related spreadsheets in InteleTrac. • Creates signs and labels for HS&E, arranges meetings/audits/lunches, and administers RIMS. • Prepares and maintains the Environmental Compliance calendar, performing formatting, copying, proofing, etc. • Keeps track of contractor/employee hours for various environmental and safety purposes. • Mails and/or faxes environmental letters and documents. • Updates emergency response telephone numbers. • Orders and manages office supplies, including copy paper and refinery calendar. • Assigns and tracks ORM investigation action items and incident investigations across the site, publishing findings in Policy Tech. • Conducts monthly fire extinguisher inspections and site-wide equipment tracking. • Posts safety KPI posters in various buildings and maintains trash bash tracking data. • Arranges Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday meals for shifts personnel. • Prepares monthly Concur reports for HSE director, managers, and selected engineers. • Supports and assists with site-wide wellness, United Way, and volunteer events. • Distributes admin building mail and schedules conference rooms. • Manages weekly signatures/receipts for uniforms/FRC and acts as a back-up to the Executive Administrative Assistant. • Performs additional activities in support of the HSE department as needed.

This position is salaried nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required. * 5 years of related experience required. * Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Houston Refinery, required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
