Valero Associate Accounting Coordinator in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

As an Associate Accounting Coordinator you will under direct supervision, ensure the timely and accurate processing and reporting of refined product purchase and sale transactions for international refineries and terminals. Monitor customer accounts receivable and vendor accounts payable for accuracy, timely processing, and clearing of transactions.

- Process international transactions to completion in SAP, including obtaining appropriate documentation and correcting errors.
- Review and reconcile vendor invoices for accuracy and validity to ensure prompt payment.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments as needed to resolve customer and vendor issues to ensure complete and timely processing of transactions.
- Perform monthly account reviews for basic customer and vendor accounts to ensure appropriateness of open items.
- Prepare journal entries as needed, including month-end journal entries.
- Respond to external and internal customer inquiries in a timely manner with a high-level of customer service.
- Assist in preparing reports and schedules for management, customers, vendors and auditors as necessary.
- Act as a backup and assist other employees with activities as requested.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio Headquarters, required.
* Bachelor's or higher level degree in Accounting preferred.
* 1 year of Accounting experience preferred.
Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
